The Böker Gemtek has been in my work carry rotation for a while now. It's a good size for even the smallest 5th pockets of the jeans I wear to work throughout the week. Being a stainless steel frame lock, it has a little more weight than you would expect from such a small knife. It's in D2, which I know not everyone is a fan of these days. I still like D2 for its hardness and ability to hold an edge. Even if it has gone from a premium steel to a widely available/affordable steel. If that makes me sound like a knife-collecting version of a Fudd, then so be it. This knife is visually a stunner, though. The gray G-10 handle scale with red G-10 accents on the pivot and backspacer really pop. It's shaped well to be comfortable in hand. My only complaint is that the lockup isn't very tight. It still travels enough to ensure that the blade won't close, but there's a little bit of wiggle when the knife is resting in the open position. When holding the knife, I naturally squeeze the frame lock, so it stays solid in use. Just a little missing detail that I'd expect to be sorted out on a knife with an MSRP above $100. Especially one that seems so well designed, otherwise.
