Was cleaning out my mother-in-law’s house after she passed away earlier this month, and found this in a drawer. It appears to be a handmade Filipino balisong. My father-in-law was a Seabee in WWII and told me his crew was responsible for building airfields in the South Pacific, disposing of Japanese soldiers’ remains, and guarding prisoners. So, I don’t know whether he found it or bought it in the Philippines. He passed away 30 years ago, so unfortunately I can’t ask him. Either way, a neat piece of history. Sharp too!
