Microtech Socom Elite – skiffs resulted in same action, better perceived stability, acoustics improved from "Toyota door" to "Mercedes door" closing. Worth getting through the red loctite!
ZT0560 – skiffs removed blade play in locked position, significantly more stability when opening, snappier, better acoustics—most dramatic improvement and highly recommended.
McNees PM Mac 2 – same action, almost no change from skiffs. Bearings look more premium, but sound and feel almost the same…potentially a bit more control on the closing action.

Not in my opinion. If anything, the opening speed is the exact same. What they do is make the action more predictable when closing. “Drop shutty” is dumb. I like slower controlled and that’s what skiffs provide.
Failed to take pictures but two more Skiff case studies:
**Microtech Socom Bravo** – Skiffs in the full size result in similar action, but definitely more perceived stability; more controlled opening and closing like if you were to tighten the pivot to just the right level, but without having to be that precise.
**Les George ESV**: Skiff thick washers make this thing perfection. Snappy washer action as if it came out of the factory int he style of the VECPs. Massive improvement to the crazy bearing action from the shop. Note, if you have a Hinderer Tri-Way kit lying around the stainless spacer + washer also fit, but the Skiff thick washers do it in a single piece which is marginally nicer…maybe placebo effect…
