This is the E05 II, mini flashlight made by Manker, it is powered by a single 14500 or AA cell, it has a single non-specified 6500K LED. It has a black pocket clip and a tritium slot. It also features USB-C charging on the battery and AA compatibility.

- Manker 14500 battery with USB-C charging
• Price:
The price of this flashlight is currently $29.95 on Manker´s official website.
• Body and build quality
It´s made of the AL6061-T6 aluminum alloy and has a nice red anodizing. Other colors are also available like black, army green, sand and silver. Also, there are copper, brass and titanium versions.
Only the head part can be unscrewed, the tail cap isn´t removable. [7th picture]
The clip is deep carry is very resistant and clips very well. It is screwed in and can be easily removed with a TORX screwdriver. [8th picture]
The button is AWESOME on this light, the “click” is so satisfying! It is very high quality. The mechanical switch on this light is very different from normal flashlights, it doesn´t have a rubber cover, it is all metal.
The tail cap has a slot for a tritium vial, sadly I don´t have tritium to put inside it, but I have Glow-In-The-Dark 3D printer filament and it fits perfectly in the slot! [9th picture]
This flashlight is very tiny and powerful! A nice addition to your EDC.
It has o-rings that make it IP68 water resistant.
A very nice and great quality lanyard is included! This lanyard is much nicer than ones sent with other flashlights I reviewed. [10th picture]
Here is a size comparison with 2 other flashlights, the S2+ and the TS28. [11th picture]
• Weight and size
Weight: 42.7 g (without battery) – Light, good for EDC
Size: 91.35mm (length) x 20mm (tail diameter)
• Battery, runtime, and charging
A Manker branded 900mAh 14500 Li-ion battery with USB-C charging is included on the package. [12th picture]
Sadly, there is no battery indicator.
This flashlight has a dual fuel feature, this means you can use 14500 Li-ion cells or AA sized batteries (Ni-MH, alkaline, Lithium…) [13th picture]
This light has USB-C charging on the battery, not on the body. [14th picture]
• Modes, Runtimes, Throw, Candela: I will include a picture of Manker's official info so you can take a look at it. [15th picture]
It is very power even with AAs, I did some beamshots with the included 14500 and it packs a punch! It is actually very impressive for a light this size.
• Emitter, reflector, beam, and CRI:
This flashlight uses a single non-specified 6500K LED, with an orange peel reflector. It is very powerful and can reach 1300 lumens on High! Although it doesn´t seem to hit the 1300 lumens mark, it is still very powerful. There is also a version with the Nichia 519a that has 800 lumens.
The lens is anti-reflexive coated!
The High mode heats up pretty fast and stepdown quickly, this is expected on a light so small and powerful like this. For this reason, High mode is great for quick bursts of light.
This light, sadly, doesn´t have a “moonlight mode”. The other Manker flashlight I reviewed (E02 III) had an awesome moonlight, I wish this model had it also! It has the low mode that has 8 lumens with 14500 batteries, and with AA it has 1.5 lumens, that is almost a moonlight mode!
The beam is kind of floody but has some throw too! I like this type of beam.
• Beamshots Camera settings: 18mm lens 2" F8 ISO100 [17th to 18 pictures]
17th pícture = Medium mode
18th picture = High mode
• Driver and UI
This flashlight uses efficient constant current drivers for all types of battery! Probably Buck for 14500 and Boost for AA! Very nice to see efficient drivers on this small flashlight!
The UI is very good and simple to use! Full click to turn on/off, half click for changing modes and double click for strobe! Loved this simple and efficient UI.
It does have memory mode for all modes.
There is no electronic lockout, but the tail cap can be slightly twisted to lock it.
• Conclusion:
This is an awesome flashlight for EDC! It has efficient drivers, a powerful LED, the quality is very good, the button is very nice to press, the dual fuel and IP68 water resistance feature make it be perfect for emergencies. If you use it for EDC like me, I recommend the Nichia 519a version for it´s high CRI, but if you prefer to have the maximum lumens and efficiency go with the 6500K version.
• Pros:
– Dual fuel
– Nice clip
– Very powerful for its size
– Efficient drivers
– Simple and effective UI
– IP68 water resistant
• Cons:
= No battery indicator
= No Moonlight mode
Thank you Manker, for sending this flashlight for review. *I am not being paid to do this review, I received the flashlight for reviewing, everything here is my honest opinion.
