L: TwoSun —TS559, NOKD (new old knife day):

So, last night I disassembled, deburred some rough edges (on the pocket clip, nothing too bad, was just annoying; reference the last pic for a close-up of the deburred clip) & buffed the uppermost surfaces of the scales, partially/mostly removing the dark charcoal anodizing (reference 3rd frame for a ‘before’ pic).

I did the last part because I really dig contrast & the whole knife in 1 colorway thing is just not my bag). During reassembly, I tuned it in even better than it was.

This knife was already my favorite of all my TwoSuns (former & current); however, w/these 3 simple tweaks, it is now one of my very favorite knives!!

R: Kunwu — Gringo (Mod.#: K712T-3), NKD:

I received this beauty last night & I love the *reverse tux* aesthetic! What a way to close out the work-week!

Ginormous/beastly & BA as can be; super fidgety (despite the size); ergos are spot on, and grippiness is dialed right in w/the ‘honeydew’ texturized titanium; the blade is a gorgeous combination of stonewashed & DLC’ed.

This thang is just unbelievably well put together; deployment methods (front flipper, blade hole) work flawlessly, combined w/a very crisp detent making for a blade that flys out & locks up extremely well; closure is somewhere between hydraulic (my personal fav) & drop-shutty; and all this with fantastic acoustics.

If you like big, quality knives — I cant recommend it enough!

The best part is, it was the reverse tux Gringo, just sitting there next to the TwoSun that inspired me to do the reverse tux thing with that knife as well … and now I am completely in love w/it!!
