This is my first guided sharpening system, always did freehand. I was looking to get some new stones (and a flattening stone) but decided to give it a try. It’s a pretty slick system. Awkward at first but I got the hang of it quickly. Smaller pocket knives with funky grinds being the hardest. I might have to take the thumb studs out of my benchmades. I do find the smaller stones clog up pretty fast, need to clean them often. I also want to get a some diamond stones for the harder metals and quick edge angle setting.
