For most tasks, headlamps>flashlights.

With the storm approaching, I grabbed this Husky headlamp as a last-minute emergency purchase from HD. I used it last night while getting some stuff done before the storm hit and while making a fire in my yard.

I have many great lights as recommended by this community, but having two hands to use instead of one is really a no-brainer. I’m fully aware of better offerings from Wurkkos, Olight, Zebra etc but chose this because it seemed like the best value relative to its price compared to everything else on the shelf at HD.

As an aside, for anyone grabbing one of these as an emergency purchase, it’s compatible with ZX-1000 cells from Coast. If you have a Coast XP11R for example you can swap its battery into this headlamp. Not as nice as being able to run of my P50B cells, but definitely a little more flexibility than I was expecting.
