I took a risk and modified my Shark Cub to make the disengage more comfortable and it was pretty successful. I didn't do all the mods one at a time so I am not sure how much cutting 1/2 a loop off the spring helped but I did that at the same time I sanded the edges of the top of the shark fin to round it off, this alone did not help because it now had very little grip, so I then filed two large jimps that ended up close to matching the ones on the blade, and that did the trick for me. Now I have good grip on it with my finger and it is not as punishing to my finger even though the jimping appears more aggressive. Another thing I noticed taking it apart so many times is there is a very fine line of the pivot being too tight, you have to find that point where it just starts to have zero blade play otherwise the action suffers.

Nice work. Unmodded shark fins shred my thumbs. Love those scales.
