My mother has had this knife for over thirty-five years; she got it from her father and neither she nor I have ever seen another like it. There are no brands or markings anywhere. She's wanted another, but the closest I've ever found are L-shaped adaptive knives—if this knife was designed to solve the same problem, I may get her one of those. Despite the plastic handle's appearance, it's never been used by a miraculous dog who can cook, but has been chewed up by my parents' chronically overstuffed utensil drawer.
