The 940 is overrated IMO. It doesn’t really feel different or innovative. But also I’m a huge Spyderco nerd so my opinion is kind of invalid. What I did see online is that the 940 is better at cutting cheese because the Spyderco blade has a lot more surface area to get stuck on lol.
Here is a video sort of comparing the two knives in s30v.
Honestly if I had to pick one of those it would be the pm2 as I am primarily slicing and not prying or using my knife as a screwdriver which is the only way that the 940 excels over the pm2.
That being said there are less mainstream options that suit my tasks much better like the native5 or the griptilian to name one from each brand.

PM2 gets pocket time because I can use it more often and for longer uses without fatiguing my grip. That specific 940 has very slick scales. The finish is not idea when you are working and your hands sweat or get wet, you simply loose hold of it in hard cuts.

Yeah In my personal opinion I think the Osborne is overrated. It is a decent knife. I think the PM2 is so much better also from benchmade I believe the griptilian is much better than the 940.

They’re both good. I like the 940 because it barely takes up any pocket room, but for heavy use it would be my pm2

After carrying expensive knives for years, I’ve gone back to a Leatherman Skeletool most days.
When I’m not carrying that, it’s a Victorinox Climber.
