I've heard this tight vacuum seal is what caused the button to feel mushy. If I left it like this, would the button be damaged?

Can I ask why you need to keep your flashlight fresh? Genuine curiosity

I can’t see how the bag would damage the button. Sofirn is a budget brand so you’re likely to get some inconsistencies.

Let it breath! ( you might want to take out the battery and charge it from time to time)

Maybe spraying flashlight with silicone coating would prevent from oxidation…

  4. The metal button /cap is just attached to the rubber boot that seals it for water ingress. The reason it can feel mushy is there’s no direct mechanical attachment other than to the rubber. The bag is unlikely to cause any negative effect rubber is pretty forgiving and will return to it’s shape I would think.
