I want to get some custom serrations added to the back of my fighter, but I messaged a sharpening business and they said "it cannot be done"
So I'm here asking 3 things.
1: is he correct?
2: does anybody know where I could find a place or business that will accomodate my request?
3: is asking for custom serrations to be added onto a knife that has already been heat treated and sharpened too big of an ask?
The pictures shown are of a custom piece owned by the actual designer of the knife, I am simply trying to replicate what he has had done to his.
Thank you for your time.

I say buy some round files and do it yourself. There has to be a tutorial on serations on ytb and these look pretty simple to me.
Edit: If so you can even contact the designer and ask for advice (on tools and such)
Check local laws about double edged knives.
To add to the other 2 commenters you can get around the double edged knives by doing a false edge. A Dremel would make quick work on making serrations so what kind of serrations you would like: i would recommend [this video](https://youtu.be/UGFktNfHX28?si=_S18MA7pGmRm-15M)
You can do it yourself just take your time and quench frequently so you don’t burn out the heat treat.
Tom veff does them i believe otherwise it’s pretty easy to file them in your self
