The head of my convoy s6 is wearing the bottom of my pocket to the point it'll make a hole eventually. The bottom of my Sofirn SC21 did the same thing and made a hole in the pocket of some thin pants.
The narrow point in the convoy pocket clip is also damaging the top of the pocket but I suspect that can be fixed by getting a better clip, something I'd like advice with. My pocketknife does zero damage to my pants so I know it's possible.
But I'm also concerned about the hole the head of my light is making which doesn't have as easy a solution. Other pants may show similar wear in the left drop pocket but I wonder if the hand pocket might be free from that issue?
I don't shred through a pair of carhartts every few months like some people apparently do – these will last me a long time, and I'd like to do that without holes or patches. Thoughts?

FYI I’ve moved the flashlight to the side of where it usually sits to expose the wear in the photos
Time for a holster.
Do the ultimate in nerdery: get a pocket protector.
pants quality is really bad these days… I can only suggest to move the flashlight out of the pocket if you are do bothered of the damage it is doing. put the flashlight in the holster and on you belt. put it in waistbag. get youself some cargo pants and put the flashlight in cargo pocket. put in your shirt or jacket pocket. or try to find mire durable pants
You can always try to bend the clip a little bit, to loosen it up. If it’s screwed to the body, you can do a 1/4 or half turn to make it slightly less clamping.
