Will the bent blade affect the performance of this knife? Can’t decide if I want to send it off for a few weeks to get fixed by buck or just roll with it.
The buck warranty is good. Send them the photos of the bent tip and I’m willing to bet they’ll offer to replace it for you.
The performance won’t be affected very much for 90% of tasks people use their EDC for, so it really is down to how you feel about it.

Send it in. Even if it doesn’t effect the performance its a defect if truly bent and a bend will make sharpening much much more difficult.
Edit-I reread your thing and if it was caused by something you did not from factory still send it in worse thing they do is say sorry nothing we can do best you get a new knife.

That breaks my heart because I love the Buck sprint. This would be unacceptable to me. I would send it back in no questions asked

Is it bent or just ground uneven?

I don’t know if that’s bent or if it’s just a really horrible grind. It’s functionally the same but I’d prefer one to the other.

It’s not bent. It’s asymmetrically ground.

Bad grind, a Buck speciality.
However it’s also a Buck speciality to treat customers like royalty so send that bad boy back. Last time I send in an uneven grind it was back in my mailbox and perfect in six days. I was in shock after dealing with certain other companies who like to take six weeks or more.
Buck is literally the only USA made company that I have total and complete confidence in their warranty and customer service these days.

Looks poorly ground, not bent. Either way, worth contacting CS

i don’t think theres an actual bend in it. i think it just wasn’t ground the same on both sides. anyway i think on paper im sure it has an affect but realistically you’re never going to notice the difference in how it cuts. the worst it will do is bother you in an aesthetic way which you know, you may or mat not care about. if it’s important to you, then return it.
