I often need to break down heavy‑duty cardboard, and I’ve been testing three of my thinnest knives (Spyderco Chaparral, Kershaw Iridium, and Miguron Vakor). The Vakor in 14C28N is by far the best performer, but it loses its edge pretty quickly after 20 boxes.
Can anyone recommend a thin, slicey knife with better edge retention?

How is iridium ?
I’m looking at the LW version of the Chaparral. I’m not big on back locks but it’s so damn thin, and my ultra-thin Vosteed Parallel has made me curious.
Bugout? Or kershaw bel air
QC Drift has a nice thin blade, dunno how the vanax steel does with edge retention though.
There’s a Vakor in m390 and titanium. Certainly not as tough as 14c28n but it will definitely hold an edge for much longer.
The Manly City in S-90v is my cardboard shredder
M4, S90V, Elmax, M390 on a Bugout/Bailout/PSK would work well
Elmax Taggedout or Cruwear Delica 4. Both thin and slicey with excellent edge retention. They’ve been good to me
