I got this buck in 1999. It's been my hunting knife since, with the exception of the year it spent underwater. Crossing a stream while hunting, my belt broke. I didn't notice my knife had fallen until I was back home that evening, and thought it lost forever.

Fall one year later I was crossing the same stream in a drought, and the creek had dried up. I noticed something shining in the creek bed about the size of a quarter. It was the hilt of my lost buck.

Got home, cleaned it up, and this is the result. All I had to do was rinse and wipe it down. This is even the original sheath. Other than a bit of rust on the clasp button, it's near perfect.
