He sends me a video of his 940 denim every. Single. Day. A man is only so strong and on this day i experienced a moment of weakness and I frickin love this thing 😠i dont know what it is, but the second you hold a 940 in your hand its like shaking hands with an old friend. The thing is so classy in styling with the handle shape and the instantly recognizable blade shape that its no wonder this is among the few knives called the king of edc. I was caught hurting for a pocket knife while my PM2 is away getting some cosmetic work done to commemorate the end of my military career (got some laser engraving on the blade with my rank and name, gold jump wings and a famous old jack for my MOS all over the blade. Super excited to see it all done) and when I saw this in the case at a local outdoor shop I had to ask if I could take a look and sure enough the second I held it id already decided I was leaving $250 poorer. Now, Im one of those people that just cant leave anything alone and so of course the second I got home I was scrolling the smkw site because I knew they have bronze scales for the 940 from when I bought the copper ones for my PM2 (the 2nd and 3rd photos are what im trying to end up with). I plan to get a titanium backspacer in silver to replace the purple one (im putting the original parts in in the box for warranty reasons) and an albeit cheap but decent looking pocket clip in a bronze color to match the scales. I haven't fully decided yet if ill shipwreck it yet since I already was going to do that to the spyderco so I think ill just let it patina for a while and see what happens
