Could be some kind of internal lot or model designation that only spyderco would know.
Did you try emailing their customer service dept with the pic? I had a question some years back and they got back to me in a few days.

I believe that code references date of manufacture and batch numberāessentially leaving a confinement as to when it was produced. This is probably for QC etc.
