This is what I’ve been doing since Thanksgiving. It started as a quest to get some decent Christmas presents for my brothers. I ended up getting them the all copper E04 Surge from FFL and they loved them!!!
In my search I randomly bought a convoy t6 with sft-25r in 6500K cct and I absolutely love it!!! Since then I’ve had an itch to find the best pocket sized thrower that I can get my hands on! I’ve got an m21b with the LHP73B on a recommendation and it’s very impressive but didn’t quite scratch the itch. Looking for more of a dedicated thrower like the t6 but with MORE throw. I’m ok with anything in between a t6 and an m21b (14500 to 21700). Anything larger than the m21b is out.
I’ve been recommended the t8 and the c8+ but I’ve found no consensus on what emitters to try and I’m not convinced they will be significantly better than the t6 for distance. I’m going to experiment with these 2 regardless but if anyone has any emitter suggestions or altogether different flashlight suggestions I’m all ears(eyes)!!!

Wurkkos TD01C. Convoy C8+ SFT42R. In general, the larger the head diameter the longer the throw. The smaller the head diameter the floodier it will be.
A c8+ (18650) or M21a (21700) w/sft42 will most certainly scratch that itch, those two use the same reflector, I recommend the M21a for more capacity. If you want even more throw, which you will, get the L21a or b w/sft42 and 3x21d. Then you’ll be good for a couple months. The T8 is awesome,
