Don't mind my picture of the lights here. I'm in Wisconsin and thought the snow would make a cool background, and of course I had to add the logos for fun.

I've been tinkering with these two lights for the last few days, trying to decide which one to keep.
On one hand, you have the ArkPro’s premium fit and finish, featuring that intuitive rotary selector. On the other, there’s the Wurkkos HD01 Pro—the "budget" light that has the side-light bar. I’ve grown to love the RGB option, and the side-bar floodlight seems like such a no-brainer that it has me wondering why Olight didn't include one.

While many users state that the Wurkkos laser is significantly punchier than the Olight’s, I personally haven't noticed either one being brighter than the other.

My thoughts:
It’s a battle of Refinement vs. Utility.

  • Olight ArkPro: You pay for the brand, known support, ecosystem and the ergonomics. The rotary switch is arguably the best UI on the market for a multi-source light. It feels like a "luxury" tool.

  • Wurkkos HD01 Pro: This thing has all these features that I just love. Adding a side-light (especially with RGB) makes it a much better flood/ area light than the Olight.

Have you tried them both? What are your thoughts?

Wurkkos, if it meets your needs, and it’s cheaper.

  3. I have both. If I could only keep one… the Olight is a no brainer for me.

    Fortunately, I’m keeping both.
