This was a gift from my dad who served as a Rakkasan in 1991. The 187th Airborne Infantry Regiment, known as the Rakkasans, played a significant role in the liberation of Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm in 1991, participating in the largest air assault in history. They conducted a vertical envelopment 175 miles into enemy territory, effectively securing Iraqi territory and contributing to the rapid success of the operation. I love my dad and I love my Rakkasan knife 🙂
