I was looking for a travel knife I can throw in a checked bag and came across this at an antique store.

I’ve got a whetstone and a decent handle on blade sharpening, but I don’t know how to go about cleaning the blades or repairing the rivet (which is still in the knife) that disconnected from one side and caused the handle to bow.

Also, is there any way at all for me to make this food safe (eg, in case I wanted to cut an apple on a hike)? I’m assuming not cuz no way to know what nasty stuff it may have been exposed to but hey if I can that’d be cool
