Items needed, all from the Convoy store:
brass button
16mm light switch, metal button (blue)
Round nose pliers for retaining ring
Convoy S2+ brass 18650 flashlight
Steps:
1. Unscrew the tail
2. Unscrew the retaining ring
3/4. Pop the washer and silicone button out
5. Place the o-ring on the button like shown and screw the metal button in the plastic adapter
6/7. Push the entire button assembly in from the inner side
8/9. Place the switch PCB in from the inner side
10. Place the retaining ring on the switch
11. Screw it in tight
12. Enjoy

Lol reddit absolutely destroyed the step numbers. Well, you get it.
Also note that only some light colours work reliably. Blue and green are the most reliable iirc.

I did the same with mine, except I kept the OG switch.
Maybe we should hint at simon to change the tooling on the brass version and install a brass button by default (no adapters needed).
Thanks for this post. That is a great mod. I wish Simon offered this as an option for ordering full builds. But at least he provides the parts!
