I assembled all these lights last night and decided to take them out tonight for some outdoor shots, I'm really happy with them! The SFT-42R is crazy bright, throws a huge hotspot pretty far. I don't like the tint, it has a greenish corona and hotspot, but for how well it performs it will stay how it is (maybe), I just wish it had a cleaner tint. The S16 I've had for almost a year, bought it back when the SFT-25R craze was in full swing, it was ok but that emitter has crazy rings in this host so I never really used it much. I swapped it out for an SFT-70 3000k with a 6V5A driver and an OP reflector, MUCH MUCH more enjoyable now. It's a lot more throwy than I expected it to be, and it even got rid of the rings that I thought were caused by the shiny SS bezel. The T6 is a brass light I've had for maybe 6 months but originally got with an SFT-40 5000k. It was a good little light, but being brass I felt was a little mismatched with the 5000k color temperature, so I swapped it for the SFT-40 2700k JA3 bin from Kaidoman (The only variant of SFT-40 that's still in production I believe, the others were discontinued for the gen 2). It feels a lot more balanced now, straight out of a Lovecraft novel. Overall I'm happy with these lights and happy with the progression in my soldering skills. Happy illuminating! 🔦

Oh hey, I recently swapped a SFT70 3000K and 6V5A driver into an S16 too. It’s a nice setup. Thanks for the beans!
