How do you do that nextool person? You grab a second tool. Us leatherman people ARE the second tool! Wait, that didn’t come out right…

But actually, leatherman is quite good for this. The leatherman bits are flat so you can grip them quite well. So pliers on one side and the bit on the other.

Any multitool is never the best tool so you never get the best result. But they help in a pinch.

Can’t we all just be friends? No? Alright.

I usually bitch about leatherman discontinuing the Crunch, then I use the bit + bit driver extension as a screwdriver

  8. Impressive, but even more puzzling is which hand took the picture.

  9. With my Leatherman and WorkPro mini pliers?

Are you wearing a potato sack? Nice cobras

Yes but I use two Leatherman tools. LOL

The same but I have a Leatherman on the driver side.

Get the pliers attachment and you can remove them and do this with just the Roxon

The same way you’re doing it in the picture. Use another tool. I’d use my Gerber. Or the Swiss Army Knife in my pocket.

A multitool is a compromise really. Giving up the “best,” tool for the job, for the convenience of having it and it being the tool you have on you instead of the perfect one at home.

I just get out my bit extension and single 10mm x 1/4 in socket that is always attached with a 1/4 hex to 1/4 socket adapter, hope it’s a 10mm bolt (it’s always 10mm) and go to town.

the tick is the bit driver extender

    .

I used to daily carry skeletool.

But skeletool hurts my hands while using it as pliers.

I am using it for screw and nuts, not pipes

The biggest issue is the screws I deal with are mostly hex.

So I cant use my test pen to drive the screws while holding the nuts with skeletool on the other side. I have to use the bit extender as a mini driver. Which works but never feels comfortable to use.

Now, my daily carry is a roxon flex and a mini corba “knock off” added a bit weight compare to one single skeletool. But this combo is comfortable to use for real work. Not just barely “can do”, but “can do” nicely
