My oldest knife next to my newest knife

My dad gave me his Benchmade 23 years ago when I moved out of the house, and he thought I needed a knife. It is still my favorite, and most carried knfie. American-made and no assisted opening. But with a nice wrist flick, you can open it without using your thumb.

A couple of weeks ago, I impulsively bought the Karbon without any research. I just liked the way it looked! It wasn’t cheap, but it is pretty lightweight, so it will be a comfortable carry. Maybe some buyer’s remorse since it is Chinese-made and maybe overpriced, but the knife does feel amazing in the hand and is made with premium steel, so once my bank account recovers, I’m sure I won’t have any lingering remorse.
