I recently acquired this Ontario m3 knife for a good price and am wondering a few thing.
1) should I parkerize the blade? It is powder coated and ive heard it wears off and looks like shit over time. Is this a problem and should I parkerize it as originals were. It is fine condition currently
2) should I sand the handle to make it look smaller like originals? Im using for ww2 reenacting and it hardly fits into the ww2 scabbards
3) best way to darken the handle and prevent it fraying? The leather isn’t the cleanest and is basically fraying in spots in this a good way to prevent this? I have Lindseed oil but would something like neetsfoot oil be better?
