TLDR: Worksharp is much simpler and easier, TSPROF has better action and nicer to use but vastly more complicated to setup.

I was gifted a TSPROF sharpening system to test. I've had it now for over 6 months. I really, REALLY like using it but i really REALLY dislike pulling it out and setting it up.

The Worksharp is simple, straightforward. Grab it. Grab knife. Sharpen. It does exactly what it says on the box and makes it easy for anyone to get a damn near professional level sharpen on all their knives.

TSPROF requires two hex wrenches, an angle finder, and a thumb screw before you can begin putting the stone into the spring loaded head. Once together, it's a dream. The Worksharp is a bit finicky to flip the blade, whereas the TSPROF glides and can go either direction.

The longer stones of the TSPROF make it easier to get a good sliding action. But the thumb screw and plastic stop can impact the holder and mess up the angle if you aren't careful.

Of the two, I'd still recommend the Worksharp to just about anyone. However, if you like to tinker and have more control AND don't want to dive into just Stones, the TSPROF is nice.

Ideally, I'd put the TSPROF rotating head and longer stones on the Worksharp and make the best single system.
