What are your favourite niche EDC items?
I'm a hobbiest leatherworker and use an awl loads, and started carrying one as EDC.
I find them useful an incredible amount. Depending on the specific awl I've used them punching holes/scoring lines (aka what awls do), as well as clear rocks from the tread in shoes, break tape, remover eyes/bruises from fruit, pick my teeth, and so on!
I have even ground down the blade on my Nextool E1 to be a nice flat awl as if ever need a small cutting edge I just use the scalpel or scissors on the tool, and if I need a substantial blade just use a knife.
I've eyed off a Diresta ice pick for a while but I I'm not sure if the form factor is what im looking for.
I'd like to expand my EDC into more less-than-standard items (call it a new years resolution), so what are your niche carries?
