I wanna start this by saying I have not been in the hobby all that long but have been watching the sub for awhile. I had no idea flashlights could even be collectible to this extent and was always accustomed to cheapo flashlights and found my way to streamlight microstream. After losing it I figured it would start fresh and try and make knowledgeable purchases thanks to this sub. Once again, I’m still a novice but have learned a lot. First pic is in order of purchase:

Thrunite Archer Mini- I thought I would want something small and I believe this one was roughly 13$. The memory is simple with just a low and high and strobe with a triple click. Great gift flashlight and did wonders for what I’ve needed it to do. Being AAA battery life is where it lacks but it does feature usb-c on board charging which is nice. With and without the clip it actuates in the pocket so it sits in a pouch now. All in all it’s never failed me besides the pocket clip being gone into existence but would definitely buy again.

MecArmy PS16- this is an 16340 and also will accept 18350s. I’ve only used the 16340 rechargeable that came with it which has worked fine. It hits 2000 lumens in turbo and is a very bright torch for the size. The UI is where i understood how frustrating some can be. You have to cycle through medium, low, high, and strobe. It’s a short overall body that does feel aesthetically pleasing but the short, chubby demeanor can be annoying. All stainless steel body gives a good weight to it. The pocket clip is not very good and has been removed. I appreciate the flashlight but I paid 40ish for it and would say it’s a good value for that. I’m happy with it but don’t carry it as much anymore.

Wurrkos TS10 Max- I’ll start by saying this is a fantastic overall package. It feels like the sun in your pocket(especially if it turns on). Great feel in hand and 5000k 2000 lumens. Pocket clip is ok but will actuate in the pocket with or without not in lock out mode. The best features of the flashlight is overall price and it coming with anduril 2. This was my first introduction into anduril 2 and I’ve grown to love the aux lights, smooth ramping over step, and battery life check. It’s what sits in the living room and for the 18650 battery it’s very pocketable. Sadly I don’t like locking my flashlight to carry it but it is my go to when putting up the chickens and when grabbing something in the living room.

Sofirn SC13 Cu- thanks to this sub I scored this all copper flashlight marketed towards enthusiasts. I purchased the sft40 5000k model and now realizing I need to try some warmer temps lol. It’s gotten a bit of a natural patina and I’ve carried it quite a bit. Anduril 2 with the side button that is a little finicky but fine. I still use Anduril in a simple way but am willing to learn programming etc. The lens on this guy is great and I can definitely see the quality of light. Love using the clip on my hat as a headlamp and I see the appeal of the side button. It’s a short package that still feels fine in the hand. It’s probably my second favorite light I own. Looks amazing too and I can’t wait to get more Cu, ti or brass lights.

Convoy T3 Ti- 519a 4500k AA is what I’ve always needed in my life. I run 14500s in it but the ability to use AA is very convenient and ideal for the world we live in imo since they are so common. This is an absolute chunker for a AA light but that’s one thing I love about it. This is my favorite size profile I’ve held in a flashlight. I do feel the small battery life at times but for everyday use I haven’t found much of an issue. I’ve ordered more batteries for it since it has became my everyday companion. The quality of light and beam is amazing and I quite enjoy the memory. Moonlight, low, medium, high which can all be switched through a half click. The switch feels incredible and everything is quality. Convoy for the price is hard to beat and I now see why everyone loves them here. They are primitive compared to Anduril but that’s a reason someone like me can really appreciate it. Sometimes you just want a quality simple flashlight and this fits the bill. Not to mention it gives off my favorite beam.

Thrunite Saber- I was looking for rechargeable 14500 batteries and this flashlight was the same price as lumintops battery itself. So I thought what the heck I own a Thrunite already so i ordered it. If I didn’t like it at least I had a rechargeable battery for my t3. It came in today so I have the least time with it. It’s very simple with a low and high boasting an sst20 hitting 659 lumens. The switch is kind of clunky and not as quality as my convoy of Mecarmy but I didn’t expect that. Quite an impressive package for the 10$ I spent. I think this will be my go to gifting flashlight as for a AA flashlight it’s a great overall size. Shows how big the T3 truly is for its category. I can see this being very friendly to a lot of people due to its memory, size, and price.

Happy New Years Eve everyone! Stay safe and I look forward to a new year and buying new flashlights lol
