This is my second Convoy S21E, this time with the XHP 50.3 HI R70 4000K. It's also my first MAO flashlight. I decided to use a 23.3mm TIR lens (60deg) because it allows for the bezel to be fully screwed down, at the cost of not being able to use the glass lens. I'm not sure how an exposed TIR lens would affect durability and water ingress protection.
The threads came dry and squeaky from Convoy; the O-rings were also a little bit dusty, probably from the MAO application.
I like the S21E body for the fact that it's a Convoy offering that uses a spring instead of a post for a 6v driver. I don't know why some of his drivers still use posts. Oh yeah, and onboard charging. That's a plus too.
