With my birthday upcoming it seemed fitting that my carry consisted of past birthday presents. The watch (a Seiko Automatic [4R36-10AO] was the first birthday present given to me by my now wife; it's also the watch I wore during our wedding. After hearing about my interest in the Hamilton Khaki Field Watch and owning an automatic watch collecter she asked her dad, an avid watch collector, to help her find the next best and closest thing in her budget. Still my favorite watch years later with a load of sentimental value.
The Spyderco PM2 was, funnily enough, my wife's latest birthday gift to me. A while back I told her how the first YouTube video I ever watched that got me into knife collecting back in 2014 was about the pm2 and since then had always wanted one but for whatever reason never made that leap. Well, while passing through Tennessee she nabbed this gorgeous model from the SMKW store thus filling a big gap in my collection.
Finally, the little Fox Vulpis in M390 was a bit of a surprise birthday present from my father (back when I was younger and more actively collecting knives he never liked giving me them as gifts despite my begging haha). Little did he know I was on the prowl for a small little slipjoint to carry at work and this fit the bill more than perfectly; thing is a beautiful slicing machine.
While this post is primarily meant to share my EDC for the day, I'll admit a side effect is getting to praise my lovely wife who continues to support and try to engage in my interests.

“…my lovely wife who continues to support and try to engage in my interests”
These are beautiful objects to be sure, but you are correct that the *real* gift is the willingness of your loved ones (wife and father) to support your interests. You are a lucky man.
Happy Birthday!
