Was iffy on the micarta, but wanted to try out cruwear and had seen mostly good things about this combo on the sub. Going to keep the micarta for a while and see how I like it. This is my first para 3 also and I’m digging it so far

I kept my Micarta on them also (got PM2/PM3/Military all in Crucarta). It’s not the best Micarta (kinda thin/smooth) but any upgrades made to it are a sidegrade and more $$. Rather just buy another one of those knives since some scales are like half the cost of the knife when the Spyderco are on discount.
If you like PM3 the carbon fiber exclusive ones are my favorite (other than ones I put scales on). Doesn’t really need the extra grip and the scales feel bigger in the hand than the micarta.
They also got full steel liners in this Crucarta version which gives some reassurance.
