I measured a flashlight at ~33 ft and saw about 1544 lux at the hotspot.
I’m curious how others here usually do throw measurements:
• distance you prefer
• meter alignment
• averaging vs peak
• indoor vs outdoor
Is ~10 m a reasonable distance, or do you usually go farther?

I measure at 10 meters. That makes the math easy. I just add two zeros to the end of the lux measurement and that’s the candela.
