We just got a telescope and I’m looking for a headlamp with only red output. I have a Skilhunt H200 however in order to get to the red LED, it’s a long press that goes through white moon first. I don’t want something that might flash white accidentally.
I’m thinking a mule would be good to light up a lot of area but open to other’s recommendations. I’d be using it as a headlamp and likely attaching to the base or telescope to shine down on the ground/equipment.
Saw an older post where someone had a hank light mule for astronomy with all red emitters which looked to be ideal. I looked at his site and also JLHawaii. I started building out some lights on JLH and I think I’d like Emisar DW4K mule with SST20 660nm emitters however, I know nothing about drivers or other options. I’d like the most efficient driver but seems like that is not an option with the mule? I don’t have any custom lights and am not familiar with anduril (I have a Wurkkos with it but haven’t really messed with it).
Anything else I should be looking at?
