Does anyone know anything about this machete?

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not, My grandfather gave me a machete he has had on the shelf in his garage for as long as i can remember. He says he got it while on a trip to jamaica long before i was even born. I was just hoping someone might know a little more about it, everything ive been able to dig up online shows similar machetes were issued to british and canadian soldiers during WW2.
