This supposed variable nitecore 2a charger is putting out less than 1a while the basic xstar charger I have is doing over 2a. (Same power block and cord as well as p45b 21700 cells x2)
Yeah you’ve got a cord plugged into an electronic device plugged into another electronic device.

Did you try the same but with fully charged batteries? 35% charge state can cause problems to the Boost driver/controller in your Nitecore.

Which charge current does it display in settings? How long did you observe the Nitecore? Because one review mentions it takes a few sec to ramp up the charge mode.
