Help me choose between these 4. I likely don’t need something stronger than the bugout, however, I’d like to buy one knife that kind of does it all. I have a $200 gift card to Amazon so that is my limit and it needs to be on Amazon. Open to any other suggestions.

Thanks!

I love my para 3, I have the s45v one with the g10 and the lightweight one. I love both. You wont be sorry in choosing that.

I’m sorry, because I know you don’t want to hear this, but ***DO NOT BUY KNIVES FROM AMAZON***.

You will likely end up with a fake or just the wrong knife.

Return scams are everywhere on amazon and doubly so for popular brands like benchmade and spyderco. Really, this is true for tons of name brands, not just for knives.

I recommend you buy something else or knife-adjacent, and then buy the knife from a reputable seller. Otherwise you’re just gambling.

Regardless, the para 3 or deka is my suggestion.

Para 2 and Para 3 are kinda funky looking, but absolutely remarkable knives. I love them.

Robco knives is on Amazon. Ships from Robco, not Amazon. I’ve bought a few knives on Amazon from legitimate dealers. Onkata is another quality seller. Just have to make sure it’s sold on Amazon, not sold by Amazon, or shipped by Amazon

I’d have to go with the Deka ( have one and love it )

Hogue Deka, buy on sale from a reputable shop like Knifcenter, BladeHQ, Smokey Mountain Knives, White Mountain Knives, etx. Often can find them around $130. Well worth it.

I have 3/4 of these (no Bugout). The Deka is my favorite but only by a very small margin.

But if you’re gonna buy a brand name knife, buy from a Reputable Dealer (my favorite is Knifecenter, but there’s lots of good ones) NOT AMAZON or you’ll have a high chance of getting a fake.

  8. Use bladehq or knife center for this, do not buy on Amazon or eBay or you will likely get a fake, sclotherd. Blorg would highly recommend the griptilian 👍

I’d say the Para 3 of the 4. I’d also consider the Kershaw Bel Air based on the general price range/vibe of the 4 you’re considering. Also as others have said, buy from an actual knife dealer. Blade HQ, DLT, KnifeCenter, and GP knives are all safe options.

That griptilian is the best and most robust out of this lot imo. If you prefer a drop point blade then the para 3

Avoid Amazon for nearly everything now days, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I love my Deka as a lightweight EDC. End of the day my biggest suggestion, get one with the best warranty.

  12. I’d lean Deka between the 4, followed closely by the Para 3. Both the [Para 3](https://freedomknifeshop.com/search.php?search_query=Para+3&section=product&_bc_fsnf=1&in_stock=1?aff=5) and [Deka](https://freedomknifeshop.com/search.php?search_query=Deka&section=product&_bc_fsnf=1&in_stock=1?aff=5) will be cheaper where I linked at Freedom Knife Shop. Prices will drop from the list price after you select the shipping option at checkout.

The Benchmades are fine IMO, just overpriced for what you get.

Kershaw Belair! I got mine from Amazon, almost my go to for edc, mainly cause I don’t feel bad about putting it through the wringer and the Magnacut steel stays sharp!

  14. Alt_twd1987

I would avoid buying knives on Amazon.

I would also suggest adding Kershaw Bel Air for consideration. I would honestly choose it over any of these.

Out of the 4, I would take the Spyderco.

I have both a full size Bugout and Para 3 LW and I prefer the Bugout a lot more for edc. It feels a lot lighter and less bulky in my cargo pants pockets and the deep carry clip of the Bugout is a lot smaller and subtle than the wire clip of the Para 3 LW.

Don’t buy off of amazon buy from a legitimate distributor

  17. None of these. Check the r/knifedeals subreddit and wait for a good buy

  18. midnight_groove01

Hogue Deka in Magnacut is the best for the money, period. Also, as others have said, Amazon is not reliable enough to purchase a 175$ knife from. Get it from bladehq, hogue’s website, or one of the many other reputable dealers mentioned under this post.

  19. Onkruid_123

The spyderco. And indeed, never buy from a store like Amazon.

  20. mrRabblerouser

I’ve owned all of them. All great knives, and will almost always choose spyderco or hogue over Benchmade, but I love the sheepsfoot grip blade shape with a spydiehole. I’d personally go for the mini grip though, and then get some AWT scales for it.

But my next choice would be the Deka. A great knife, and kind of a better made bugout. Also the least likely to be a fake when bought from Amazon.

  21. Don’t buy those off of Amazon! Also he the magnacut version of the deka 2. It’s actually cheaper
