If you look at the line that goes to the point, on one side of the knife it goes straight into the tip. On the other side, it's slightly off.
For a 550 USD knife, really? That's handmade and nobody saw this?
Or maybe handmade means that you get errors like that? I mean, this could have corrected definitely. Not sure how I feel about it. The steel otherwise looks flawless, compared to the Etsy knife (120 USD, D2 steel), that had some air in it. For the Mercworx knife, I chose "CPM 154" steel.
From the looks, I like the Etsy one more, even though the quality is clearly lower, but the shape is just beautiful. Both knifes aren't balanced that well, no comparison to my Fällkniven S1x Pro and F1x Pro.
What do you think?
BTW: The handle is pretty fat, also the steel thickness there. Imho this doesn't add to style, as I would have preferred it a bit more balanced.

It has a bottle opener? Not my fave
The bit you point out just means it was ground asymmetrically. Even on a handmade knife, that can be done evenly with a little more time or skill. Anyway, very cool to see the replica next to its inspiration! The Mercworx sure looks a lot more comfortable. The replica, amusingly, seems to have a much nicer grind.
