A lesson in generosity.

The universe has seen fit to send me some true Christmas spirit this year!

Earlier this year I was in a financial bind and had to let go of a few things. My co-worker bought my Cru-Carta PM2, the last of my nice knives. This co-worker is a gem and it’s hard to sum him up in a quick post, but “give you the shirt off his back” and “heart of gold” get pretty close but not quite there. He’s got 16 years on me by age (upper 50’s). Raising his sons 2 kids and his brothers 2 kids. Gets off work and goes home and works in his busy auto repair shop.

I show up this morning and he gives me the knife back for Christmas and says he “won’t hear shit about it”, with a smile. He insisted, and I accepted.
He’d never taken it out of the box and claims it was his plan all along when he bought it.

Counting my blessings in the people around me this year and I hope I can pay it forward one day.
