Honestly the L50 hotspot is a bit too much for a right angle lamp.. DC fix made it a lil better tho. The D3AA with NTG35 1800K on the other hand, is damn nice. Last pic shows the reason for the colorway of the D3 😀

What NLD means?
Does the hotspot feel a bit too punchy on the high modes for you? I agree about the lower settings, but once you ramp it up, it settles into a beautiful, pretty uniform wall of light.
