In my never ending quest to cull the herd, I often find myself looking for redundancies in the collection, mostly around function/purpose, ergos, and action. I’ve made twelve pairs of knives in which most bear some similarity to one another, e.g. steel, blade geometry, purpose, ergos, price tier, etc., in order to ask myself, “Which of these two would I keep if I had to get rid of one?” It’s often hypothetical, but sometimes yields a juicy WTS post on the swap. I’m curious how my fellow knife enthusiasts would choose.

Keep: 1B, 2B, neither 3A or 3B (not interested in designs), 4A, 5B, 6B, 7A or 7B look cool, 8B, neither 9A or 9B (don’t love the nessmuk, modified wharncliffe), 10A, 11A, neither 12A or 12B (I don’t like finger choils). You’ve got some great knives! Good luck narrowing them down. I’m curious which characteristics you prefer.
