To my surprise, it does even have a moonlight mode if you long press from off. In the reviews I read online, there's no mention of a moonlight mode. Here the 3x21E is on my nightstand next to my bed. It might be still ever so slightly too bright for my liking (I don't want to wake up my wife using it)
Might it be a be a newer version with moonlight mode?
Oh and apart from moonlight mode, it also appears to be good at lighting the entire garden 🤣.

Love mine, quite under appreciated in the 3×21 series.
Suspect some of those reviews are a bit outdated, I may be wrong but I think they not always had this 25A buck driver.
