I have solved the common dilema of heavy lights falling off your hat bill!
I used a copper D4k with the clip reversed to be my headlamp, the weight caused it to fall off a lot denting the cell/bezel. I drilled a hole in my hat a few months ago, and the light has never fallen off. You simply slide the light sideways so the clip engages through the hole, and then rotate the light to lock it in.
Pros are having a solid headlamp mount, and being able to quickly switch from pocket carry to hat. (No need to reverse clip)
The hole functions as a heat vent in summer, so this is a win-win situation!
Lol, thx for reading. 🙂
Cheers!
Pictured is my 2 channel Ti D4k with 2 x 519a 3500k and 2 x W1. I have the hybrid tir lense, and that really gives a nice flood and throw via the seperate channels.
