Got this as a gift and I’m 99% sure it’s a knockoff. My question is do the counterfeiters actually use the correct steel as stamped? In this case S30V. Somebody school me. Cheers

Definitely a knockoff, and no they’re usually mystery steel. Most of them advertise it as being D2 or equivalent, but no one really knows.
