I got this pocket knife a while ago from my mom but it bends backwards when I put pressure on it and im wondering if this is normal for the type of knife or if it's broken and I should get it fixed somewhere? it locks just fine and dosent bend on the other side or have any issues opening or closing

    That type of knife is what we call a gas station knife. And poor quality and dull blades are very normal

    There would be a pin that stops travel past a certain point. It’s called the stop pin and it’s probably missing.

    If it means something to you, keep it. But I could get a better after knife from a well known brand. Kershaw, civivi, Spyderco, benchmade ect

    Calling that a knife is being generous given you literally can push on the blade with your finger and not cut yourself. It’s not even worth fixing, the lock and/or stop pin is clearly blown out and the knife was probably <$5 when new from the gas station.
