I've only bought two or three knives in the last two or three years, but holy macaroni this is a good one. Waited about a year for them to come back in stock, boy howdy was it worth the wait.

I've been liking carrying a utility knife/slipjoint combo recently, this pairs well with the Twisted Assisted Pallas that's been in my pocket 7 days a week since i picked up the parcel. I've been using the slipjoint (magnacut ukpk until this week) mostly for food and the stanley knife for everything else.

Everyone is at a different stage with their knife hobby, but I'm at the stage where I only want to buy something if it really speaks to me, like if I think I'm going to like it better than all the dozens of other knives I already own. This ABW met that criteria, and exceeded all expectations. It's perfect. The aggressive hollow grinds cuts like a Monte Carlo croupier.

I think I may be at the same stage as you. For the first few years or so I bought a lot of different budget knives and also several Spyderco/Benchmades. I wanted to try as many different steels, blade shapes, and sizes as possible. I was buying 2 to 3 knives a month. Now I buy one every 3 to 4 months and only when I find something that really checks all the boxes for me.
