Since the original Moonlight Limbo and Moonlight Roundup 2, there have been plenty of advancements in extremely low light technology so, with my new-to-me FFL X1S in hand, here's a new comparison!

In the first image, we have many of the original contenders to the left, while the right is mostly newcomers. They are labeled for your viewing pleasure. Half of these can clearly be eliminated for being too bright. (Do note that the E02 III is one of those, while the E02 II and E02 are much lower.)

Second is a front-on view of the remainder, also labeled so you can tell what's going on. The perennial moonlight favorites, E02 and RRT01, are actually the brightest! Actually this kind of isn't a fair comparison because I used my modded SST-20 2700K E02 II which is lower than the stock 4000K.

The newcomers, however, edge them all out! The Lume X1 provides some insanely low levels in the Noctigons and Fireflies (which is an XHP50, not 719a), but what might be the unexpected champion is the D3AA and its two severely underpowered emitters! Check out the third picture! They are, in fact, on!

All three pictures are 1/2 second exposures, but the 1st is ISO 1600, 2nd is ISO 100, and the 3rd is ISO 6400. All are white balance locked at 5700K.

Hope you enjoyed this moonlight comparison!
