Hello, I'm new to knives and I'd like to know if you recommend the Browning Knife Ignite 1. I'd like to use it for fishing and camping, but I'm not sure if it's the right knife for me or if you recommend something else.
The honest truth is that it’s probably fine and will work for you, but knives with Gun makers names on them are frowned upon by most knife people because they are usually made of low quality Chinese steel.

Give it some use and see if it meets your needs in the field; if it dulls, sharpen it.

Kinda similar to the Boker Plus Outdoorsman . I think the Browning is discontinued now but there is an ignite 2. It’s a $25-$40 knife.
For that price you could get a Cold Steel Outdoorsman Lite (highly recommend) or a Pendleton Lite Hunter or Mini Hunter and those are solid options.
Then you can choose a better ferro rod.
Bladehq and knifecenter are good for searching knives.
