All Hail the mighty Bits and Bobs…

Sometime last year I put a piece of paracord and one of my gf’s hair ties into my jeans back pocket and they never left again. It was amazing, they took up next to no pocket space, weighed basically nothing and proved to be useful in more ways than I had ever imagined! I started wondering if there were more additions like this… and there were. And after some tinkering they even fit into my wallet without being bulky. A paperclip, needles and some threat, a small scalpel blade… you name it. Have you had similar experiences with simple/small/mundane items that proved to be really useful to carry around?

My key setup consisting of a beltloop with a carabiner and a piece of paracord. It holds my apartments key, a small pry bar and a Victorinox classic sd in orange alox

A Viperade pouch that holds a small notebook, a Rotring 600 3-in-1 Pen, the Victorinox L-shaped bitwrench + holder, a small retractable eraser, a few allen/torx keys, small cable ties and some miscellaneous small stuff.

A Red Cross issued micro first aid kit containing gloves and a CPR mask (I also added some Band-Aids)

An incredibly ugly organizer made from a card sleeve that holds a pair of tweezerman tweezers (thanks to u/PocketTheory for the recommendation), a small 00 Phillips screwdriver, a sturdy needle to use with the inner strings of paracord, a pair of French remos folding scissors and the corkscrew for my multitool holding the small flathead

A small scalpel blade that is usually shoved behind my driving license

a piece of cardboard with two needles and some thread (red, because my clumsy seams will be visible anyways and this is at least easier to work with), the four-sided Victorinox screwdriver from the Swisscard and a paperclip. These live in my wallet’s coin pocket.

A Joker for extra luck (does not seem to work unfortunately…)
